The Legacy of Love Butterfly Sculpture Garden

APD Construction is proud to celebrate the completion of the Grandmothers’ Legacy of Love Butterfly Sculpture Garden at Lake Eola Park; an extraordinary project that combined artistry, heritage, and precision construction.

Our team delivered this community landmark with the highest standards of quality and care. From new specialty lighting that illuminates the sculptures at night, to a state-of-the-art irrigation system that ensures the gardens flourish, every detail was built to last. Specialty paving, raised planting beds, new park steps, fencing, decomposed granite walkways, and the butterfly sculptures themselves all came together to create a space that truly honors legacy and community.

Equally important was how we built. At APD Construction, we take pride in carrying out complex public projects with responsibility and respect; working to minimize disruptions for park patrons while keeping safety and excellence at the forefront.

We’re honored to have partnered with the Orlando Land Trust and the City of Orlando to bring this vision to life. This garden is more than a project: it’s a tribute, a gathering place, and a symbol of what’s possible when community and craftsmanship come together.
